Summary


 

Due to more then 15 years of working in sales in the media industry I have been able to build a knowledge of multi/cross media communication. 

Starting of as a trainee at PCM Uitgevers I got the opportunity to work in various positions which enriched my knowledge of the newspaper and advertising industry, both in the Netherlands and abroad. 

At Nationale-Nederlande my jobdescription was marktmanager but in fact I was a mediaitor of multidisciplinary teams. My main project the introduction of ZekerWonenCombinatie made it necessary that I became a negotiator pur sang to get the job done. This within the time and budget scheduled.

RPN Radio Sales the sales organisation of spot and non-spot advertising for CITY FM (commercial radio station), Stads Radio Rotterdam and Den Haag (public radio station) made me more then a creative consultative seller. Part from managing the sales/traffic team it was my duty to get the balance sheet back in shape.

Reed Business is a publishing company which is leading when it comes to terms of adapting/developing new media. It gave me the opportunity to experience sales in journals and public magazines. 
More over I got the opportunity to help with the start up of the online sales department, both in the horizontal (elsevier.nl, zibb.nl etc) as vertical (trade- and professional) sales. 
In 2007 I was promoted to Sales Manager and therefore responsible for the advertising sales for the magazines Elsevier, FEM Business, Beleggers Belangen, Bizz, Onebizz, and the websites, elsevier.nl, fem.nl, beleggersbelangen.nl, beurs.nl, zibb.nl, bizz.nl, onebizz.nl. It was up to me and my team to get the upmost sale out of the branches business services i.e. industry, chemical, recruitment, construction, real estate, training and development, RTV, publishing, courier services, gifts, consultancy, pharma and government.
This was achieved by maintaining and developing existing business, but above all by tapping new business.
